Campaign for Minimum Wage Continues to Build Momentum as yet another Freeholder Board Adopts a Resolution to Support Ballot Question #2

The “Raise the Wage” campaign commends the Essex County Board of Chosen Freeholders for its adoption of a resolution in support of Ballot Question #2. At least a dozen resolutions have been adopted by city councils and Freeholder boards to date, demonstrating a broad and committed support for raising the minimum wage and including a cost of living adjustment.

As our coalition continues to raise awareness for Ballot Question #2 in the community, the support of our elected officials provides a whole other layer of support which will help to bolster our efforts.

The importance of raising New Jersey’s minimum wage this year is paramount. Therefore we cannot thank our coalition partners and volunteers enough for bringing voice to this issue. Your efforts have brought this issue to the forefront and have made it possible to garner an incredible amount of support.

We once again thank all the local and county governments which have adopted resolutions in support of Ballot Question #2.

Here are all of the resolutions in support of the minimum wage increase:

Buena Vista Township Council
Essex County Board of Chosen Freeholders
Hudson County Board of Chosen Freeholders
